body work

alright i have a 75 camaro that was my cousins, he bought it brand new and it was wrecked 4 years after and has been in the garage and off the road to this day. I have an 81 camaro that I like much more but the thing is the rear end body has some rust right behing the gas tank, a very hard task to get rid of. So i was wonder could i take the front end of my 81 and put it on the body of the 75. Would it work? Does anyone know or has anyone done anything like this? PLEASE WRITE BACK
