Ok has anybody gotten a Maaco paintjob? Or better yet work there? I need to paint my car, but I'm on a budget. I need a good cheap paintjob. I was looking into the signeture job. Is it worth it? Is it a good quality? Any help would be great. I got an estimate from a local paint shop that he would put my kit on and wire up a few lights (which i can do myself) and paint it for $2500+. I have around $2000 to paint a 95 grand am SE with a kit. Is this a good amount? If you can't tell I'm clueless, I'll admit it.

Maaco has some of the best equipment, and bodymen around.. They can do some very nice work..
But as they say, You get what you pay for..
They've got a bad name because of the Budget paint jobs they offer that dont include proper bodywork, prep, and use a low grade paint.. But Its because thats what the customer wants to pay for, its not because they cant do good work..

Do the prepwork yourself, and save a few bucks...
A tip I learned from the rally crowd.
