i just bought a revell civic am in trying to figure out what to paint it...a light blue color or matt black suggestions are welcome thanks

Clear Stock, and an SS type hood.
Blue should look nice.

i would paint it black, is the front bumper cut out, if not i would do that and add some mesh, lowered also.

I painted mine blue with a black hood.

i would take up the lowering and an the mesh but besides the fact that im a 15 year old kid with limited budget an time right now i cant...otherwise i would learn how to do it an do it but sorry
