why does everyone diss this movie it might of had rice like theres no tomorrow but everyone in here knows when it first came out they thought some of those cars were sweet as hell. I loved it when they were customizing the supra and how about that 900 hp charger so i think that the man i hate fast and the furious shit should stop because if your gonna hate on that movie you almost have to hate on your own car because i have seen a few ricey ones in here and i would agree mine is a lil too.....part two sucked

Ok heres my two cents. The reason why people like me hate the movie is that it is unrealistic. I mean how man damn times are they going to shift. It's like them frecken cars have 10 gears. Most people look at thsoe cars and think neat and then don't understand them at all. Then they think nitrous is all cool and lets drop a shitload of it in my car, and boom there goes there engine and it's depressing to see someone screw up their car becasue they didn't ask or for that matter even try to figure out information on what they were doing. I am going to stop bitching now and stuff. I am going to go look for a new radiator.

i dont like the movie because it ruined street racing. Street racing used to be something that for the most part was nothing more than a speeding ticket. But that movie tied street racing to drugs, guns, theift, violence, all the lowest parts of society. Now to anyone who doesnt know anything about street racing, they are going to believe thats what its really like. That movie created an out cry from the public to be harsh on street racers. In the year 2002, 135 people were killed due to illegal street racing, compared to the over 40,000 people killed in regular auto accidents. Hmm seems so dangerous to me. I saw a video clip online of a police stang on some street racers. Like 500 or so street racers. Anways before they raided the street racers, these cops were like, we will prolly find lots of stolen cars and car parts, as well as drugs and guns. They raided and found Not a single damn stolen car or car part. Very minimal drugs and just a bunch of good kids having fun in an isolated part of town with their cars.

FUCK THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS AND ANY OTHER MOVIE THAT SHOWS STREET RACING IN SUCH A STUPID MANNER!

Should be in Film, not in Cavalier.

And I didnt like that movie from the first minute. Its so unrealistic and TERRIBLY stereotypical. But, thats Hollywood for ya.

Yea i dont no what street races u've been going to but from what ive seen from the races in philly i have seen n example for each thing u mentioned, so its just not in the "movie" at times it is real. And i dont see how the movie created a public out cry....street racing has been going on since the 50's if not b4, the movie is just a stupid reason to blame someone or something, an the reason why it is getting so much attention now is because their are more people on the roads driving then their were b4 which cause less accidents n less bs about stupid street racing. I hate to say it but the scene in the movie when their racing n the cops come n exactly the same scene in real life so u need to get ur shit straight.

Jersey has a point about the street racing - it's been going on for a while, and don't blame the current generation, they got the racing idea from the previous generation. Import street racing has been going on long before Fast and the Furious came out, and I doubt that anyone watching the movie was influenced enough by that movie alone to go out and kill themselves, and if they did, they deserved it. I myself think the movie's overrated, but at least they got they flythrough in the rotary engine right.

fucking terrible movie.

ricey cars (don't deny it. even the Supra was garbage with it's nasty graphics), terrible plot, horrible script, bad acting, unrealistic...it was garbage.

the only cars i like in that movie were the S14, the R33 (which didn't even have a real part), and the Charger. the rest were shit.

and as for realism....the Eclipse shifted 7 times during the first street-race...he checks his computer...WHILE RACING...and his fucking floor-panel falls out?! wtf?!?

"danger to manifold!"

"SHUT UP!"

if anything, that movie was a comedy because i can't do anything but laugh when i watch it.

oh, and i have not yet, and hopefully will never, see the 2nd one.

"You almost had me? You never had me - you never had your car... Granny shiftin' not double clutchin' like you should. You're lucky that hundred shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake! Now me and the mad scientist gotta rip apart the block, and replace the piston rings you fried."

Both F&F movies were very inaccurate towards the street racing scene. Nobody races their cars with full body kits, full custom interior, and fully modified engines. A true racer, or "ricer", would have a beat up Honda Civic with a cheap exhaust, cheap custom rims in back and stock in front, cheap unpainted incomplete body kits that aren't bolted on right, stock suspension cut down dangerously low, and cheap gauges. That's real, people. I laugh at people who drive cars like that. Why do they insist on looking like dumbasses? Their cars look like shit, and they look stupid as hell leaning way back in their seats like they're "all-that". F&F is crap. Real street racing is even more crap. If you want people to think your car is nice, spend a bit more money and make it look right. And SIT UP so you can see the fucking road.

Why Fast and Furious is an aweful movie and should be destroyed.

1. made teens think rice is "cool" like Saturday Night Fever did to disco
2. the Charger was way over-rated and now everybody thinks any Charger will pop a wheelie like that because it "has a hemi" couldn't do it in real life with the 900 horses, won't do it with less
3. made anybody who goes over the speed limit racing somebody "public enemy number one" O.J. Simpson gets more respect than a street racer
4. the second one, 2 Fast 2 Furious, is 2 Stupid 2 See, Yenko Camaro getting beat by a riced Eclipse!?! puh-leeze

Ricers are the low budget guys trying to be true racers. True racers may have beat up looking civics with a fully built race motor underneath.

Dont forget the fact that he drives it around city streets and for some reason it handles like a Subaru, even though there is no way a car like that could drive anywhere fast other than a straight line.

i dunno what races u been going to but hey what ever, cause if i recall after hot import nights, in phila there was over 500 cars on Holstein in Northeast philly, including skylines, supras, mustanges whatever the point is they all had over 15 grand worth of mods put in them. ok so u didnt like the movie o well, doesnt mean u gotta bash "ricers" thats them expressing themselves through their car just like u do with what ever piece u drive so grow up stop being a lil bitch about the new generation of street racing n deal wit it cause it isnt going know where.

that movie sucked it was full of ricers and other idiots, it just really pissed me off like the part in the first one when "vin" flipps over he's wearing a helmet! and all you people defending ricers are lame there just retarted ass lil kids who think they know somthing about cars and go around trying to race in traffic. they are all retarted and they need to get a life and try to learn somthing about cars instead of acting like a fool.

I personally enjoyed the movie because it was a movie and not a documentary. It's hollywood. It's supposed to be flashy and gimicky. Who cares just watch the movie to enjoy it. Its like people who go to scary movies and say "that was stupid they wouldnt have ran back in the house in real life" well no duh its a movie..it would be a really boring movie if they ran to the cops or whatever. I think another reason people hate this movie is because they used to be a part of an undergrown sport, but then street racing went mainstream and it wasnt so unique anymore. Its like when an underground band blows up then all of a sudden theyre sell outs or something. So what if its innacurate or stereotypical, thats what its supposed to be. Movies like rounders, varsity blues, above the rim, you got served or any other movie that is based on some sport or underground club will receive similar critisicm. You will never find a movie that is truely accurate because real life is boring!

Absolute Bullshit both of 'em. Everyone is like 'oh it;s really helped the industry', has it fuck! No prices havew dropped. No more development is being done just more morons in fucking civis burning round saying ' i lve my life a quarter mile at a time' more like a quarter tank of gas at a time!!! Double Clutching, what a load of shit!!! It's not a fucking Semi!! Alos 'Isee a cool air intake, nitrous fogger, blah blah blah, direct port nitrous injuection!! What hold on a second, it has two fogger systems or that little 12 year old actor said the same thing twice!!! 'I need NOS, two of the big ones' Why so it lasts longer?!?! 'You've got a heavy foot' you should only use n2o on full throttle. 'Not a bad way to spend $10,000'!!! Where do they get there stuff cos I want to shop there!!! ;Tweak the timing on the nos you'll run nines!!! Will he fuck!!!! It's bullshit it's a stupid movie with street racing only as part of the story. It wasn't all about cars so it shouldn't be connected to them.

the fast and furious films are just prettied up for a wide audience and are about 80% inaccurate of the true import culture. The other 20% percent has to only go to the cars themselves for having all that wrench time put into them, but everthing else :thumbsdow

I liked the movies cause they were car movies and there were some funny parts, but they movies were unrealistic and stuff didn't add up like in the first one in the begining he hits 140mph without nos then hes like "I need nos gets some and blows his floor pan off??? In the second one they race the muscle cars and while he is using the nos they look at the speedo and it says 90-100 and his face is saying like "ahhh the g forces I just hit 105mph." It's just full of unrealisim and you could go on for days talking about all the stuff.

I hear that. I don't know why you'd have to double clutch a synchromesh transmission. Maybe they think it looks cool.

Movie was fun to watch but terrible inaccurate. The eclipse they used was a simply RS/GS POS. Second one was even worse than the first.

Ricer- The kid with a muffler and intake who thinks his car runs 12's

Racer- The guy who drives what looks stock and ACTUALLY runs 12's
