The other day, i was reading about how car wash soaps SAY they contain carnuba wax, BUT REALLY DON'T.
Anyway, when i mixed up a bucket or warm water, and meguiers car soap, i put in about the same amount of liquid meguires quik wax in there as soap. Roughly like 4 ounces soap, 4 ounces wax, and mixed it with 4 gallons of warm water (nice soapy water :-)..
I washed my car with the solution, then gave it a hose down with a full flow setting on my hose using cold water. Believe it or not, this gave a descent "just waxed" look, seriously.
The water dilutes the wax, just enough so you don't get that wax haze-you don't have to buff, just dry the car.
BTW, the only problem caused by this, was my windshield wipers made that jumpy-squeek noise, but nothing major.

Make sure you don't add like 4 ounces liquid wax to 1 gallon of water.. It will give you haze-looks nice once you buff her though.
Do what i described, it worked excellent on my silver tbird. This is a lazy substiture for a good ol 1 hour wax job though :-)
But hey, it was 38 degrees when i washed my car, i really didn't feel like staying out there to long.

I don't wash my car. There is salt everywhere on my car, even the roof. I tailgate people, so it really gets it on my car.

meh... I get tired of washing the car. I spent 3.5 hours today washing and waxing it. I drive a nice car, and am thus oblidged to wash it regularly. Ironically, however, I also can't stand being seen in a crap econobox that I wouldn't ever have to wash.

I think someday i'll buy a wrx for my daily driver. Then having it super dirty would be a plus... it is a rally car after all, right? :p My weekend car will still be a bmw m coupe though!
