How do I remove the rear interior panel on the rear hatch. Also does any one have a diagram of the rear hatch door latch assembly or know how to repair?

I have a 1993 and the driver side rear latch hung up too. The only way I could get it open was to cut the post (stud) that screws into the sheetmetal. After you do that then the door will open. What happens is the latch (part mounted on hatch held by three screws) gets rusty and the spring inside will not "pop". After you carefully saw the stud (put some tape on the sheetmetal around where you need to use a saw to help prevent scratching) the hatch will open. You can easily find latchs and studs at a local salavge yard or at Uneedapart.com Proabably $20 or less.

I'm talking about the latch on the rear hatch door, the very back one. Thanks though!
