? Do I have keyless entry

Hello All,

I am new here. Just bought a used 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 3.9L V6. I was wondering if it originaly came with keyless entry or not is their away that I can tell. It does not have power windows or locks. I would like to install keless entry but most of the ones that i find require automatic locks?

I was just hoping that some folks out their might beable to guid me in the right direction.

Usually the only options that the six cylinder trucks came with were intermittent wipers. Some of them have air, tilt, and cruise, but that's rare. Most are also 5 speeds. Power windows and power locks come only in the LT and SLT trucks, and your truck would be a WS. You could put power windows and locks in it but I'd wonder if it would really be worth it, as it would cost some big money. For the price I don't think it would pay for itself in how you either crank a window or push a button to get the window to go up or down, know what I mean? Think about it...

My truck is a WS and the only option it has is the intermittent wipers. Bare bones.

I think I agree with you in alot of way.
my truck is plain in it does have AC (We need that down here in Texas) it doesnt seem to have tilt. It does have the int. wippers. I was more wanting the keyless entry because it is easier to click a button to open the passanger door than to have to reach across the cab.

So how can you tell if they came with keyless entry. I have a 99 dodge ram SLT club cab. Factory power windows and door locks. I bought the truck as a repo so all I got were some locksmith made keys

go to dealer with your vin and they will give you your options or give me the last 9 of your vin and i can check it for you and post here with results

If the floor is vinal not carpet, its a WS. So no keyless.

you don't have power locks, you don't have keyless entry!!!!

Wel tcjimmy looks like you have an awsome truck but it isn't equipped with keyless entry from factory
now that doesn't rule out a dealer installed mopar
accesory kit available for this truck this would not be listed in this database you can contact original owners @ 940-538-5675 four stars auto ranch and they should be able to tell you if they had this installed afterwards hope this helps later
