91SE Won’t shift to rev. till warm

Howdy
I have a 91 Accord SE and it won’t go into Reverse till its warmed up a bit.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Is it really really cold where u live?

Sometimes that just happens, that when it is extremely cold, a transmission wont want to shift. It actually happens quite frequently in the winter on my 3000gt, where I wont be able to get into 1st or reverse the first try.

When this happens, see if you can shift into the higher gears, like 4th and 5th...then shift back into neutral, let the clutch out, then press it back in and see if you can get it into 1st or reverse then.

I'm in Florida and I forgot to mention that it is a AT trans.
Sometimes it does it ,and sometimes it don't .
Here this morning it was 32 degrees and it didn't do it .
It only does it when going into Reverse .

yeah, im in FL too, not really sure why, my manual 94 sometime wont go into reverse as easily, but ithink its just the old trans...
