2002 Denali power steering failure

Mine failed suddenly and without warning. Unfortunately we were 200 miles from home pulling a 32-foot trailer. That was not a fun trip.

Is this the same problem with power steering pump shaft that is mentioned in another thread? How do I find the NHTSB report? My dealer claims there is no such issue. Of course, I'm not buying their story.
