98 power locks (autolock)

i was wondering if anyone knew how to turn the auto lock function on in a 98 k1500. The dealership couldnt help me and i didn't see it in the owners manual. I want my truck to lock either when i put it in gear or when it gets up to 10 mph. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think its possible with the OEM parts. You can get it to autolock with the ignition turned on with some aftermarket remote starts, but I don't know if theres one that will lock after its in gear

My 1998 didn't have this feature but the 99+ Silverado trucks do...the doors lock automatically at about 15 mph. I'm pretty sure the C/K trucks didn't have that, even as an option.

You'd probably have to get an aftermarket product to accomplish this but others may have better ideas.
