Ok i have heard that the ecu modules you can buy supposedly dont do any good, but would the JET ECU reprogramming where they reprogram your stock ecu give you a lot of power and help you out alot? Thanks for any help or opinions.

Im not sure what engine you have, but if its an option id go with hondata. Everything ive heard about JET with imports sucks. Also depending on what mods you already have done will depend on how much you can get out of a tune. I would reccomend hondata to anyone who is looking to squeeze every bit of hp out of their engine.

I agree with sivic. That Jet Reprogramming is crap. Just go with Hondata.

well yeh i know hondata is great, but there's a $1000 difference in pricing here. I have a 99 prelude with stainless dc sports header, high flow cat, apexi N1 catback, denso iridium plugs, and nology hotwires, so thats what i have to work with. For that amount i would just buy the aem ecu. Also do you have to program the hondata yourself? Also where is the cheapest place to get the hondata?

Also i know they have different levels of hondata. What is the cheapest level that i can get good power out of? No turbo or supercharger right now.

www.hondata.com

I looked at the prices and its much cheaper than 1000bucks. Look at what all you need on the vehicle type page then look at the price guide.

You would definately want to get your car tuned by a professional on a dyno instead of trying to tune it by yourself if you want to get the best results.
