that is pretty freakin serious - would be awsome to take out for a whip - how the hell does he see - that engine is almost as tall as the roof with that big ass intake for those carbs on there...

i thing he should have used a small block it would fit better with more mods and have just the intake and carb's out the roof not the whole top end of the motor.

One of the best comments i have seen for it so far is that nice Type-R steering wheel cover just spells RICE out its ass...

It was deisgned to look like that. they could have mounted it loer down if they had notch the slam panel but it part of the look!

Why would someone throw a killer engine like that into a cheap cavalier!? That 454 engine and tranny probably outweighs the car and cost twice as much. I agree it looks kinda neat, and i might even hafta take it for a blast. But i wouldn't want it sitting in my driveway.
I'm happy with my 2.4L

Seeing that car isn't actually street legal.. i won't have to worry about that. If it were at a tree lights i could have some problems but with that size engine all i can forsee is him burning tires...

man, i just wish i had the resources to do something like that, that is one badass machine, the only thing i'd change is that 2 speed automatic to a 4 speed stick

Nitrous_Boy
01-27-2005, 10:28 PM
your fucking crazy leave the powerglide in that thing. they are tuff ass trannies.

jakegday
01-27-2005, 10:30 PM
hey man thats cool, i dont really know anything about cars (or powerglide transmissions) i just thought of the fact that it was an automatic and i love driving a stick

Nitrous_Boy
01-27-2005, 10:32 PM
stick would be good but for the weight of the car mixed with the power of the overdone motor you would have a clutch problem. kinda of like if you hop up a corvette then you have to use EXPENSIVE ass clutches. powerglides were used in older cars and then in drag cars. they are said to be some of the tuffest damn trannies alive. just some info.

I bet he's twisted the hell out of that body! Unless he braced it somehow.

All that power, and stock brakes.

Ok ok some wrongness in this thread! it's 17" front 20's back and that is a 20 on the back, IT'S HUGE. It has disc brakes all round with carbon pads. Discs all round means NOT STOCK and carbon pads mean better stopping. The car has been extensively braced.

Nitrous_Boy
01-29-2005, 08:39 AM
i couldn't image stopping a 454 with cavalier braking system anyway
