Wiper motor

My wiper motor on my 1992 Dodge will not stop wipers from running. The wipers do stop some time but may start back at any time. Its like the switch is bad but I was told it was the wiper motor. any one ever had this happen?

happened once on my 02 dakota, cause was the key in the ignition was turned back just a tiny bit, but wasn't a mayjor prob for me...
