what to do

okay im not gonna name any names yet cause this could just be a misunderstanding but is there anything i can do if i may have got ripped off by someone....i payed w/ paypal and i havent heard from them in a couple of days and im starting to get suspisious i still havent got a tracking number or anything and i called ups and they said they cant tell me if there is anything in transit to my adress unless i have a traking number...like i said is there anything i can do...but also like i said this also could just be a miscomunication or misunderstanding but it would suck if the first go around w/ paypal i got ripped off for 90 bucks...i know its not alot of money but it was my my birthday money and im still pretty young so i dont have alot of cash to just blow

contact paypal, I'm pretty sure you can withdraw your payment... but I'm not 100% possitive...

This has happened to me before. Paypal has buyer protection on most things. You can contact paypal with what happened and they take it upon themselves to contact the person who recieved the money. If the person can't prove they sent the item out, paypal will refund al of your money.

I would first start by finding out exactly where the bastard lives...

Try and handle it privately without bringing the forum into it. If you trash someone name even if they were in the wrong they are even less likely to offer a refund or your merchandise and I can tell you from experience mistakes do happen do to human error. So hopefully the other person will make good but just my :2cents:. After all like everyone I am wondering who it is as well but am probably better off not knowing.

How much was the part if you don't mind me asking and I know you said it isn't much but it still kinda has bearing on what to do.

i got tipped on ebay once.. i just kept emailing the guy until i got a refund.. being annoying can get you what you want..

Like was said he must show proof that the item was sent or they will give his 10 days to give a explanation. If he refuses to take any action they will refund the money and go after him for it. Also $90 is not chump change. There are plenty of cool things that money could have been spent on but its also not big enough to warrant legal action which I am sure this will not come to. I hope the other party involved has a good excuse cause thats just not right to not give any reasoning for the lack of communication. Good Luck.

Edit- Also what kind of part was it?. I have quite a collection of spare parts and if its something I got. I would be willing to send it to you, no charge(us capricorn f-body guys have to stick together). I know what its like to be young and spend every last dime on your car and get ripped off.

well it was a used set of edelbrock tes headers and smog hookups but give it a bit to see if he responds i went ahead and filed the complaint last night after i left the forum cause its been since the eighth since i sent him my money and i havent heard anything from him but once on like the 12 and that was just him sayin ups was the one thats supposed to send my tracking number

i still dont know for sure but if he was tryin to rip me off im glad it was just for the headers cause i first started talkin to him about a cowl induction hood...4 in cowl funtional bolt on...he wanted 200 plus 100 for shipping now i would be freakin out right now cause i was gonna dip into the money for my paint job for that one
