how do you remove the rear seat of a '95 mustang, in my buddies car the one side is stuck down and the other side won't lock into place, wtf

In my rag top there are two plastic clips under the cushion that you push in. The seat then lifts up. The seat belt buckles will fit through the holes with a little persuasiion. Once the cushion is out, There are two 10 mm bolts that can be removed, then the seat back just lifts up.

i've long removed my rear seats, it's just a 2 seater. the back seats don't do anything.
