I want to paint my calipers with some silver caliper paint I bought. I seen some people do some sloppy jobs with there calipers having paint all over there rotors.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can paint my calipers without taking them off and still have a clean finish.

the more time you take to do, it the better it will be. Take your time to sand them and tape them in well. It's all about the prep work. If its a spray can put somethig over the fender of the car. over spray is the devil

why would he need to get new pads and rotors if he is going to take off the calipers. Its not like its a hard job. Once the car is in the air it takes a total of 30 seconds. Don't inform people to do things if they are not needed, for all you know, this guy may not know a lot about brakes and could possibly waste a lot of money b/c's of what you said.

For the record

I have brand new rotors and pads on all 4 corners. My calipers are the only thing that looks old being very visible and noticable thanks to my rims.

I think I'm just gonna tape everything surrounding the caliper and just spray away.

Thanks for the tips guys

when I did mine I removed the caliper from the rotor but not the car, then pulled the pads out of the caliper, then painted them.

Not sure if thats all that clear, but what i'm trying to say is that i disconnected it from all but the brake line so i wouldn;t have to bleed my brakes etc. If you do it this way just make sure not to let the caliper hang from the line, its not too good for the rubber. Get a wire clothes hanger and bend it so that you can hang the caliper from your spring or something and tape/put some newspaper everywhere you wouldn't want paint. then spray away.
