Radiator is leaking coolant from several places along joint between core and plastic ends. Local shop quoted $900 including $500 for replacement rad. Anyone found a good aftermarket rad that might be better price or at least will last more than the 90K km that this one did? Preferably all metal one. Any other wisdom in this matter would be appreciated.

Hi Wogs,
I'm new here too. But I did a quick search on Rockauto.com and they show a Proliance #432554 for $197
and DriveWerks.com shows a Behr PPE-G1000-103148 for $171
and a Nissens PPE-G1000-103148 for $169
Maybe others here can help with brand choice. I would think Behr would be good, I replaced a MB radiator with one several years ago.
Good luck with it.
BTW: How has the A6 been for you? (w/the exception of the rad)
I'm considering getting a used one (98-02).
