I hear you...the best service manual I know is published by Helms....(I got one for my 98 Acura Integra 4 years ago)...that thing is sooooo precise and complete...it was the same one the dealers use. Expensive though...spent 75 bux on a new one.

I picked up a Chilton one and its not very detailed...but its better than nothing.

I bought a CD manual on ebay, it is Isuzu Corp issue. If you want to know more I could fill you in. I have nothing to compare it to, so what can I say. Seems it's for the more tech guys, less for those like me that want step by step procedure stuff.

Tell you what, I'll post some pics of examples, but only temporarily as it's copyright issue, so stay tuned, and have a look, but I'll remove them fairly quickly

OK, the pics are up! The first one is a table of contents. the others are just examples I thought give a flavor of what is covered.

I'm pretty much limited to oil changes, radiator fluhes. Brke jobs and engine work is above my head, so these manuals are only of so much use to me!

I have this manual (hard copy), it's worked for what I've needed. The electrical schematics alone made it worth the money for me... couldn't get my power locks working until I bought the book and checked the schematics out.

Does it only cover 99 model year or can they be had for 94?

are you asking about the cd or the hard copy? My hard copy is for 1989 to 2002 Rodeo and Amigo.

If anyone needs schematics or anything I can try and scan them and send them to you. Just send me an e-mail.

All I know is it says 1999 Rodeo on the Disk. I assume much of it would translate over for any second generation 98+, but don't hold me too it, maybe someone else can speculate?

As for a 94, no idea if this CD would help. The guy on ebay who sold these seemed to have them for only the 99, I never saw them for another year from him.

I have the Haynes manual that is being auctioned. It is a decent manual but it doesn't go into much detail about anything. It's good for basic repairs and includes a lot of photos taken during actual teardowns. Overall, I'd rate it a 7 out of 10.

Hey Hey. JWS!!! SOLSTER saying howdy!

So is the Haynes good for the basic garage mechanic like me. for example, would it give step by step for replacing an alterntor or starter, etc...?

I would think so. I like the manual. I just would like a little more in-depth info, especially on things like ABS and the electrical system.

I didn't pay attention to what the guy on e-bay was asking for shipping but most AutoZone's have this manual in stock. That's where I got mine and I think it was about $17-18.

I would not trust the guy who wrote the Hayes manual to fix my car!
