tightening battery terminals

Ok I know this is a dumb question but how do you tighten a side post battery cable. My negative terminal is loose and I can not get a man to do it so I will have to do it myself

The side post battery cable is usually held on by a bolt. You will need either an adjustable wrench, or a socket set , ( although I have used pliers in the past, you can too if that is all that is handy, just make sure you tighten the bolt enough.) Adjust the adjustable wrench to fit over the bolt head and turn clockwise to tighten. If you are using a socket set, just find the right size socket, put the socket on the socket wrench, and put it on the bolt, and turn clockwise to tighten.
