idrive a 94 integra ls and i wanted to get a new muffler, not full exhaust, for my ride. i wanted one that is cheap and has a deep sound. my friend has an r1 muffler on his 92 civic hatchback and it sounds really good. i found out that i can get a tanabe racing medallion replica for really cheap and i heard its the same exact thing as the r1, so i was wondering if u guys new if it was and what kind of a sound it has. i really hate that high pitched sound that some mufflers make and i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. thanks.

I heard the medalions were super loud....
I would like to find a muff for my teg that has the same (or at least close) tip as the stock. I think the stock tip is very clean looking but its just not going to flow enough for my future turbo app.
Anyone let me know if you know of such a tip....2.5-3" would be super.

If you're looking for a stock muffler look, Flowmaster makes an exhaust for integras that looks exactly like the stock muffler. I dont know how it sounds though. Personally, i think its worth the money to go out and get a quality cat-back exhaust, not just the muffler.

Nah...ya see, I want a high quality muffler that looks stock and then I will go down to the exhaust shop and get a front to back, custom mandrel bent, stainless steel piping plus a bigger, highflow cat.
Just say no to 'cat-back exhaust sysyems'...cheaper and better to get a custom bent exhaust.

COLOR=purple]If you go to flowmaster.com they have audio clips of their mufflers. I have a magnaflow muffler on my teg. It has a nice deep sound and everyday it gets louder( the steel wool inside wears with time.) I only paid $132 for it and it has a lifelong warranty, but I guess the warranty part doesn't matter that much since it's stainless steal. Their mufflers also have a nice glossy finish as well. Of course there are nicer mufflers out there, but magnaflow isn't bad if you're looking for one that is fairy cheap.[/COLOR]

Go to www.summitracing.com and buy DynoMax Super Turbo, or an Ultra Flow muffler. Bolth pretty cheap, OEM look and deep bassy tones without the lawnmower effect at high RPS, thats what im gonna hook up.
The dynomax site even has a sound file of there ultra flow on a civic.
Sounds good.

I have a medallion, w/o the silencer it is dam loud. I can usually set of car alarms 3 or 4 cars away! w/o the scilencer it doesnt sound like a little whinny ricer it is deeep and loud. w/ the silencer in it sounds a little louder than stock. My personal opinion is wait and buy a greddy EVO or something like that. quite, sounds good.

The think the Racing Medallions are nice but it is way loud. If you don't mind a silencer on it then go for it! But not too many people like the thought of a silencer on the exhaust.
