wheel bearing sensor diagnostic?

Does anyone know how to tell if a wheel bearing sensor is bad aside from checking the codes?

What does it matter which sensor is bad if you need to replace the entire hub assembly anyway?

The problem is I receive a scan code that indicates a wheel bearing sensor is bad, but it doesn't indicate which of the four is bad. Also none of the bearings are making any noise so I am assuming one of the sensors is bad. This is why I would like to know how to diagnose an individual sensor.

IMO, after replacing all four of mine, if you can't hear the wheel bearing humming / rumbling = it ain't bad. Honestly, if it's the least bit bad, you'll be able to here a resonating humming when you get up to certain speeds. If you've got the lights on, but can't hear it, I'd say it's probably just a fault sensor. I'm not sure how you would "diagnose an individual sensor" though. Maybe just replace all four sensors?

You cannot replace any of the sensors in the wheel bearing...you need to replace the entire hub assembly because the sensors are encased within the hub.

well yeh in my post I meant I replaced all 4 hubs, not all 4 sensors. So if you have a bad sensor, like Jtrujillo said, and your that annoyed by the lights, then replace the hub assembly and it should fix it. But for the money, I don't think it's worth it, unless you have an actual bad bearing = you can hear it.
