Oil Lines

I seem to have a leak under my tahoe. After getting underneath I saw two hoses or lines with springs around them running under the driver's side oil pan. Are these for the tranny or the engine oil? Has anyone worked on these before? My tahoe is a '99 with a 5.7 engine.

I think you are talking about the engine oil cooler lines. They run from the oil filter mounting bracket up to the radiator I believe. had mine replaced when I put in my new crate motor at 106k mi., they were really beginning to leak bad. Hasn't leaked since : ) (2 years ago) can't remember part cost or number, but could look it up for you when I get home if you'd like...
