Electric door locks--no unlocking?

92 Cherokee 4wd 159,000 miles...door locks only work when you want to lock the vehicle, they don't work to unlock it. Thoughts?

The wire going to the unlock side of the switch is cut. I recently pulled up my carpet in my 93 XJ and found 2 wires that had been cut causing my windows not to roll down at each door switch. I'd check the schematic and test power at the unlock wire when you try to unlock.
