cigarette lighters dont work

i tried to hook up my power cord adapter for my phone and it didn't work so i tried my radar detector and that didn't work either. ive had the car for 2 weeks and just noticed that they don't work. ive checked the fuses and they're alright. anybody know what else could be wrong?

The only thing I can suggest is replacing it. Its not very likely that the wire is broke, but you could test the connections first.

dunno if it helps but on my car the cigarette lighter works great but neither radar detector nor cell charger will work in it but both work in the power outlet just fine. if u wanna try testing it dead center of the bottom of it should read 12 volts or so everything else in the cylinder portion of it is ground
