1988 royale brougham idles extremely rough

Hi guys I have an 88 oldsmobile with the 3.8 and when I go to warm it up in the morning it starts up fine then after a few seconds it starts to idle really rough. This has been happening for awhile now but it has gotten worse since the cold weather has arrived. It will idle fine for a few seconds then it starts to get rough and then it will shut off. I constantly have to look outside to see if it is still running. This car is starting to get me upset now. I need help from you guys. Thanks for any responses.
