Help Identify my Car

I have a 69 Mustang Coupe and I'm having some real problems Identifying the car I have. I've been doing some research, and it appears that the Car was built via Special Order. The car came from the Metuchen Plant. Is there any significance to this? (The car has no "special badges" but it's a custom order-so it wouldn't....)

No, it would not have to have any special badges, I'm going to assume that you decoded the vin since you know where it was built. It could be that it was ordered with say a transmission behind a motor that they usually didn't pair it up with. Also could have been a special pait job or something. Theres a book called mustang by the numbers (I think thats the title) that list all the production #s of each year. Give us a little more info on the car.

After a visit to the Mondo-class Ford dealer in town, and I saw a brand-new one which could have been my twin. (Other than the hood striping.) To find out the new color Legend Lime is only available on the GT's is an encouraging thought. Anyone know why the new cars are Called Legend?

Well, I found out Ford only made 504 of the '69 with the Bench Seat option, so I'm feeling better now.

I've checked on other sites, and they discount the idea of the 69 1/2 model year, anyone here have thoughts about that?
