I have a 90 GT 302, How hard would it to be to put this engine in my car. http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=387876&prmenbr=361 its a 302 so it can be that hard right.
Also would it just be cheaper, and easyer to get new heads and pistons. would i come even close to 340hp if i were to just swap the heads and pistons for better ones. thanks.

It would take a lot less time to put that engine in than to put new pistons in your old motor. If that was the question not sure?

Pistons are very hard to do with the motor inside the car, and on a 15 year old engine chances are you have no cross hatch left on your walls and will need to bore them out.

It's easier to just do the swap, doing a rebuild requires a little more skill than what the average car owner has.

teh cam can be done with the motor in the car. the intake manifolds need to come off, as well as a lot of the accessories. radiator comes out, a/c exchanger can be rotated out of the way without purging it. i think you can leave the front valance on but don't quote me on that.
