I am wanting to know what suporting mods I could do (to the head) to get 350hp! In a couple of weeks I am going to get a new tranny. It's out of a 91 jdm with 45,000 miles. Then a couple of weeks after that I am going to get a TD06 from ATS racing. What I want to know is what type of cams (big overlaps welcome), valves, springs, and where I can get a good port and pollish. (I will also be buying a new fuel pump, and injectors.) What hidden problems might come up and what can I exspect (h/p and tourque #'s) Thank you for your time and help, Kevin

IIRC, valve overlap on turbos is a bad thing...

some REALLY worked turbos still use it... like top drag cars etc cause they dont care about the blow through..

hmmm... well what type of cams do you suggest? My goal is to have a port and pollish, new springs (ATS maybe?), valves, and camgears (also ATS) The best combo for a TD06 to get 350+ hp. I have also be thinking about getting the crank done. I have also heard the JDM mr2 tranny can withstand 9,000 RPM's from the motor. True?

You do not need to touch the engine to get 350 rwhp with the TD06. I am at 351 now and I have not gone anywhere near my engine.
There is no benefit to a "JDM" transmission. A 91 MR2 tranny is the same no matter where you got it. A 93 MR2 tranny (again, from anywhere) is a significant upgrade over the 91.
Yes, MR2 Trannies have been spun to 9000 rpms.
If you get a bigger fuel pump andinjectors, you are going to need something to control them.
If you really want to do cams, 272 intake and 264 exhaust are the way to go. To see their benefit, you are going to need to have them degreed and tuned.
I hope you have upgraded your intercooler and/or have water injection and alos have a proper intake/exhaust to make that kind of power.

Thats good to know! i dont have exhaust and intake a GT speck APexi exhaust and a K&N intake. i know that with the exhaust system i have, i will need to get an exturnal wastegate but im pretty sure ATS makes a system with one... The intercooler is still stock. I have been looking for an upgrade maybe HKS or GReddy? I have been unable to locate a air to water intercooler, but im pretty sure thats a custom job.... Thank you for the info!
