E36 Radio speakers not working

My friends 1997 328is speakers are not working. One day they were working and the next they were not. She bought a new receiver thinking it maybe because the original receiver was just shot but, even with the new receiver installed the speakers are still not working. Any suggestions???

Have you checked your amplifier? It is usually in the trunk on the BMW. You might have to remove the side walls of the trunk interior. Have it tested first before you buy a new one. You can take it to any car radio repair shop and they will test it for you. Good luck.

I also just remembered that before you take your amp out, you should check the fuse, it is located in the hood of your car. It maight be blown.
