anyone use the coldheat soldering iron?
i'm thinking about buying one. does it do everything a regular soldering iron does?
do you need some kind of special low melting point solder or something?
how does it work?

They work just like a regular gun. You dont need special solder. The only diffirence is that it cools down in a matter of seconds so you can touch it right after you just soldered and you wont get burnt. Its more for a safty feature. But it works great

I wouldn't try it. There is no metal known to man that can cool down that quick. So I'm thinking: either it doesn't cool down that fast, or 2. it doesn't work properly. Just use a regular soldering iron.

WHY just WHY would you want to buy one? I've invested myself into a Radioshack solder iron for about $12.00 Works flawlessly. Save yourself the extra few dollars to buy more solder
