Ok guys sorry for this, I'm probably gonna get tore up over this one, but here goes. Whats the difference between a blow off valve and a wastegate?

SEARCH before you post next time!!!

Wastegate (WG) allows exhaust to escape the turbine housing so the exhaust doesnt keep spooling the turbo and it isnt building boost past a certion PSI.

Blow off valve (BOV) releases pressure from the intercooler and intercooler pipes when throttle body plate is closed. When the throttle body opens the BOV closes allowing you to produce boost into and through the manifold. But as soon as the manifold sees vacuum (throttle body closed) the BOV opens releasing all the boost that you were currently building.
