No.1 Misfire Bad Injector?? JDM Engine Help

I have a d16z6. I replaced all the plugs, wires, control module, cap, and rotor last night. I just drove it for about a mile and it still runs like crap. No. 1 cylinder misses at idle and when I hold the Rpm at about 2000. I pulled the no.1 spark plug and it is completely black. Pulled the rest and look fine. What could be causing this? Do I have a bad injector that is staying open(running that cylinder rich) or could it be a wiring problem to the injector? Please let me know. Thanks

well, you just stated yourself what might be the problems. So why not test the injector to see if it's faulty first? if not then start tracing the problem back from the wiring. you will need a wiring diagram, I don't know if it is the same as the non-jdm lay out so you will have to do some more reseach on it.

Ill see if I can get a scope on it this week to see whats goin on. If you have any other suggestions let me know. Thanks

if your injectors test fine, then check continuity on both wires.

dont forget to measure resistance of the injector with an ohmmeter ;)

i had the same problem, ended up just a thread problem and my plug didnt get all the way down. it created a similar problem. not sure if its the same as you but, im just throwing out a similar circumstance.

cross threaded, it doesnt allow your plug to go all the way down. i think we have all had this happen in one end or another, if you look at the plug and half is black instead of just the tip if could be a thread problem, or if the other end of the spark is all black from exhaust then that could also be it.... chech the thread of your plug real close if it all looks legit then you are prolly fine...

it would feel like you torqued it all the way down, even though you might have only went a 2/3's of the way.
