Hi All,
I have a 1991 C1500 with a 5.7L engine. I just got the vehicle a month or so ago. I have replaced the plugs, cap, rotor, and control module. I am now getting a code for the TPS. The truck starts sometimes, and lopes when idling. Then if I shut it off, I can't even get it to start sometimes. Anyone have any similar problems? What did you do to fix it.
thanks,
Bob

change your tps and check your TB gasket.

the TPS can cause all kinds of funky problems. They are easy to replace, start there for sure

Have you replaced your wires? My 93 suburban ate three sets of plug wires in 50k miles. Pay the money and get either AC or a good quality set. Another dead giveaway to the wires is if the tachometer needle jumps either while at idle or during driving.

cadillakin is right! tps sounds like your thing. Wires also need checked or replaced!
