on my 00z24 my door sensor pin has been seized to the closed posision and when pulled out manually needs lots of giggleing to make the lights turn on. I want to replace it. Now i ripped a lot of plastic out and still found this part to be unaccessible to me. Has anyone attempted to remove this and been succesful?
The Haynes repair manual makes no refrence to this as usual.

Do tell.
thanks.

No way! Damn! I always try to do things the hard way. If it's that easy then i thank you my friend. It's like -10C here so the rubber is probably really hard.(If that's what's holding it in). I'll try it tomorrow in the garage and post the results.
Thanks a lot.

Whole plastic piece starting from the steel door. there appears to be a gromet there. I'm gonna give it another try in a bit. it has been sitting in the garage and has since warmed up a little

OK! success! The switch has a plastic extrusion on each end which allows it to be pushed in innitially, butprevents it from being pulled out. It came loose with a SNAP!! and the wings holding it in snapped off. I guess that's the only way. Now i called Crappy tire and every other parts store here in scarborough trying to find one to replace it with. It turns out the only place to get it is at GM. So as my bad luck goes, akk GM computers are having a problem today and cannot locate one or gimee a price. go figure! Oh well, i'm on the right path now.
Thanks everyone
