'86 Accord that won't start...

...a little history is probably helpful here! Three months ago i had a shop replace my fuel pump (cause my car totally crapped out) once they were finished with that, they called an informed me that i also needed a new alternator...well hell....screw them, so i brought my car home and put a new one in myself! the car ran great for a month and then my battery light would start to flicker...oh shit...cause it was doing this prior to the initial breakdown. but the light would not flicker if i kept the car idling fast enough. eventually the battery was dead. i charged it on a trickle charger for the day and it ran fine after that...until it that friggin' light started to flicker again. needless to say it happened again, so i replaced the battery, hopeing and praying that it would solve the problem. but no...after trying to start my car with the new battery....nothing, not a single dash light....help...any ideas?
