You don't have a damn clue what you're talking about. The vents in the rotor allow the gas to escape and help to cool it down, that's the whole point of the vents in them.

You don't have a damn clue what you're talking about. The vents in the rotor allow the gas to escape and help to cool it down, that's the whole point of the vents in them.
vents produce heat, originally intended to racing where the composite of the pads required more heat.

vented rotors are better then stock yes. However not to back up the original message, but it is true that drilled and sloted rotors are les durable then solid rotors. They break the structure down significantly. But as far as stopping power and quicker stopping slotted are better then solid.

actually in normal braking conditions slotted and drilled rotors give less surface area therfore making braking worse. drilled and slotted rotors will only benefit you if you are using you brakes alot during driving conditions like autocross or something where you brake and go alot and the brakes heat up too much therefore creating gases that keep the pad from contacting the rotor ans strongly as it would do cold.

So buying slotted/drilled rotors for a "non-racing" daily driver is not to improve the stopping power but more less for show.
