Brake problems on a 92 PA

I recently had some rear brake problems on my 92...Its come down to I need to replace the backing plate but can not find the part online, and the 2 independent mechanics I spoke with didn't know a lot about the GM drum brake system. I was wondering if anyone can point me to where I might be able to order this part and should I do both of them at the same time or just the broken one(passenger side rear)? Would it be better to take it to the dealer even though it'll probably cost an arm and a leg? Any help at all would be much apreciated.

Your best/cheapest bet is to ask a salvage yard to pull one off for you.

I've been thinking about that as def. being the cheapest way to fix it, also I been thinking crazy like swaping the 3800 out of that into an 89 VW Jetta coupe...but thats a whole different story
