Folks,
yesterday i started my car and there was no fan working at any speed... Was working the last time i took my car three days ago !
I removed the glove compartment , checked the resistor... it's good.
checked the motor... it's good...
checked the relay in the power module... good
checked the 40A fuse good.... I went to a scrap yard and tried other control modules to see if the controls were defect.... still no fan...
I jumped a wire from positive battery to pin 87 on the fan relay and the fan worked....
I even swapped the so called "power module" with no success...
i removed the "intelligent power module" ( fuse box) i'm looking for corroded contacts on the main board.... everything looks fine there...
when i push the button to power the fan, i can hear the vent motors adjusting for the right position...
all the other functions on the control module are working fine.....
I really don't know what else to look at .... I though ,since i have the original shop manual from chrysler , that it would be easy to find but still not fixed.... Anyone as ideas ?

You certainly have covered a lot of ground so far...

Speaking of ground, you probably know that the Blower Motor Switch provides the Blower Motor access to the ground plane it needs to complete the DC circuit and spin the motor.

If you are absolutely certain that the (+) side of the circuit (as you described it) is OK, I would look at the switch and the A/C Heater Control Module - both of these devices handle the proper route to the ground plane through the Resistor Block first, and then to the ground plane. But BEFORE you do that...

Have you disconnected the Blower Motor and checked for power at the connection? In my '96 GC LE, all I have to do is remove the glovebox door and the connector for the Blower Motor is right there. You might try disconnecting the Blower Motor and, with the key in the ON position (engine does not need to be running) and the heater switch ON, check for power at the connector. If you do NOT have power, then...

Just for giggles, for about $14 you can replace the Blower Motor Relay. I know you said it was OK, but I have this nagging feeling...

i fixed my problem... one line of the circuit board of the intelligent module was broken due to mildew....
Lot of searching but i saved a intelligent module unit... ~ $1000 CAN $

According to the Chrysler service manual it is called the INTELLIGENT POWER MODULE... this is where all the fuses and relays sit....

According to the Chrysler service manual it is called the INTELLIGENT POWER MODULE... this is where all the fuses and relays sit....What model year is your vehicle? The reason I ask is I want to try and find out if it is unique to others in some way. I see the Powertrain Control Module and the A/C Heater Control Module/HVAC Contol section as the ONLY modular items involved with the A/C Heater Blower Motor, Blower Motor Relay and the Resistor Block in my Haynes Manual #30011... Where is the Intelligent Power Module physically located in your vehicle?... Thanks.
