Transmission Question

Last night I was driving around and I didnt have my performance shift on and when i was rolling like at 20 and I floored it, it didnt do anything for a second then it quickly accelerated. The second time i went past someones house stopped, put it in reverse tapped the gas and nothing happend for about a second then it went into reverse. Whats going on here?

That happened to me once, nothing happened, then it took off.

Maybe the fluid lost its properties. Check it and if it's brown or foamy, that's the problem. Anyway, don't change it if you never did it before. Just try to be gentle with the car from now on.

I just got it flushed like a month ago and it shifts smoothly. Ill have to take a look at the fluid.

I took a look at the transmission fluid and it looks normal. What do think is goin on?

did you check the fluid level, sounds as if its low, that could cause the hesitation. Remember to check on a level surface when the fluid is warm.

Yea the level was good. It had a nice red tint to it

so does the engine rev up?

Yea the engine revs up, I think its weird thing that happend that has no explanation

Let's hope that tranny flush didn't do any nasty things, as they usually do. Seen several failures shortly after.

I remember reading a post about having to clean the transmission line. How much screwing around is that? Plus where I got it done he looked at the fluid first before he did anything and told me that it could use a tranny flush.
