I just put a viper alarm on my car. It had everything but remote start on it. My friend told me he had remote start installed on his 3000GT and it costs $20 to get it but i have to do install myself b/c nobody will do it on a manual. what all parts do it need to install it and how exactly do i do it?

It's no different except you need to bypass the clutch. Some people take the easy route and just unplug the clutch switch. Make sure to hook up the parking brake to the emergency cut off on the remote start. Also, it is a good idea to try to add something like a digital tilt/motion sensor as a cut off too. They will work when the car jerks.

Exactly good advise I think the switch you want to use is the same one that detects if the car is raised or moved in any way. People use it so that if someone tries to jack theie rims the alarm will go off. What you will want to do is hook it up so that if the sensor trips the ignition will shut off. Hook it up to the neutral saftey switch with a relay, that way if the sensor trips the engine will die.

also if you're anything like me you have to start remembering to park with the parking brake on and the car in neutral instead of 1st.

if you're having trouble putting it in, a-lot of local place, that arent corporate (like circuit city and sears) will install the remote start and they just wont give you a receit for it. but if you can do it yourself and save a few bucks, do it.
