Help questions on 97 legacy

I was woundering how much a 97 legacy weights with a 5 speed and awd consumer guide says 2500 but is that with awd. I am also deciding wether to get a 96 impreza or a 97 legacy I want to make it fast and custom. What car has more parts on the market thanks :smokin:
