i tried searching.. andi couldnt' find exactly what i was lookin for.. im' low on cash, but i want my 91 mr2 turbo to b a lil louder. i was looking at gettina magnaflow 6" muffler with tip there like 90 bucks. About what size inlet am i gonna need on the muffler to b able to work with the stock piping?Also... hows the sound compared to stock?, or should i go with a 4"?. it wont' b all buzzy and raspy will it... i'll take it of the day it gets put on if its like that, lol .. NE one know of some sounds clips of mk2 turbos with just universal mufflers on? And also. is it gonna fit. i belive its a 14x6.. i think it'll work, i just want a different opinion. thanks, steve

Generally people upgrade the exhaust for performance which often changes the exhaust note. To upgrade for performance, you want a larger diameter of piping, not just the muffler.
If all you are doing is changing mufflers, then you are not going to see a performance advantage.
If you are going with one universal muffler, chances are you are going to end up having only one exhaust tip.
Seeing as you are primarilry interested in the sound, you may want to note that the "raspy/buzzy/farty" noise usually comes from the tip, not the muffler. Small pipes with a big tip will cause the annoying noise. The muffler (generally speaking) affects the deepness of the sound.
If you check out the more recent videos on my Web site, you can here a 3" in/out Borla muffler.
The older videos on my site are of a nopen exhaust.
