I have a 96 honda civic ex. I just broke a wrist pin and I am getting a new engine. a friend of mine is selling a 94 integra ls with 25,000 miles, and it comes with tranny, airmass headers, thermal exhaust, clutchmaster stage 3 clutch, intake, and lightweight flywheel. all for 1,200 dollars except I need to take the totaled car with it. Is this swap possible? the tranny is for a 92 integra. Would I need to get a new tranny?

thanks

Yes but, I would recommend swapping w/ a engine of the same year (not backwards).

Yea your going to need a motor that is 96 or higher to make it legal and also to fit the OBD that you will need which is OBDII.;)

Where did you purchase your Honda from... broken wrist pin should be covered under the Honda warranty -- less of course you bought it from someone else or have gone over the allowed mileage... damn wrist pins :o

At least in CA, the smog rules apply to the newest of the engine or the chassis. It is not illegal to put any engine in any chassis, you just have to be able to smog it.
I.E. 98 Civic with 99 engine requires 99 smog equipment
2000 Accord with 97 engine requires 2000 smog
