are there any distant relations to well known people that you have?

my dad's friends great grandfather helped Al Capone get his car unstuck from a mud patch when he would go up north to one of his cabins or houses.

my dads parents lived next to the guy who started and owned Milwaukee Tools. I have met the guy myself.

my bro met Reggie White

my mom's great grandfather owned the newspaper in Kansas City and lived in the house that is on the campus of University of Missouri-Kansas City. It is now an administrative building.
(I should be rich, but in the great depression he lost most of his money)

umm i work with a guy that has worked with bill gates at microsoft, he met michael dell when he was just selling computers out of his dorm room, he helped the guy that started Turbo Tax get started in his business, and hes met a lot of Nobel prize winners...my gf has met the Dallas mavericks including Mark Cuban while she worked at the boys and girls club .. iv met that young tejano singer chic before from south texas..cant think of her name now though (no not selena)

My Dad met Fran Tarkenton, back when he was still with the Vikings.

My wife has met Keanu Reeves, and knows Penn (the big guy of Penn and Teller).

I've met Sonny Jurgenson(Redskins), Marion Berry (a dubious honor) and Rockefeller, the former governor of West Virginia.

My old room-mate dated Carrie Fisher's neice and Debbie Reynolds grand-daughter (same chick).

I've met alot of this towns local news anchors and radio personalities.

My friends mom was Muhammed Ali's head nurse when he was first coming down with parkinsons. Theres a picture of my friends short fat italian dad doing an uppercut to Ali, its priceless.

My doctor's cousin is Greg Kinnear(sp?). I've met A couple of state representatives, the former governor of Illinois (Jim Edgar) used to live 5 minutes from my house and I used to see him at the grocery store. Met Scooter from Cold, and the drummer for Lucky Boys Confusion (he was spiking his hair in the bathroom before the show I was at).

oh yeah my old roommate sold sunglasses to chelsea clinton or one of the bush daughters and also that hot chic from seventh heaven...actually his manager sold the glasses, but he was there, ... the manager didnt realize that she was talking to the presidents daughter and when she had to ask her for her address and she said "1600 pennsalvania ave" or watever and it still didnt click who she was haha .. oh yeah im from austin so iv heard stories of many people meeting the Bush daughters and stuff

I've met Jim Edgar too Swigz...I've also met/caddied for Michael Jordan, Mike Ditka, Brian Urlacher, Chris Chellios and a few other celebs at a golf course near my house.

Neal Stephenson is a friend of the family, and my father works personally with Jeff Bezos (head of Amazon.com). (Ive met both, and had multiple dinners and stuff with Neal). Harriet Quinby is a great aunt (one of the frist women aviators, before Amelia Airheart). Ive also met Bill Frist (now senate majority leader)

I've dated a tv actress....

Muhammad Ali owns a house that's about 10 minutes from where i live. In like the smallest village in the US. His house isn't that big (3000sq ft), but he has a lot of land by the river. I've seen him at some sort of thank you ceremony because he donated a large amount of money to our schools.

My dad met Axel Rose, Walt Frazier, sat with Phill Simms on a flight, then took a cab with him to the hotel and had a drink with him. Don't worry, he got his autograph :)

my neighbor met Roberto Alomar at a hotel.

well, my best friends parents had a private dinner with George Bush.

I met/tried bringing home the heir to Campbell's soup at a bar one night (I didn't get it but my buddy did) PS she was pretty good looking.


People from the Boston area might appreciate this one... met Ryan Montbleau in a bar one night, so me and my friend started talking to him and his friend, well the bar was beat so we decided to go back to the remnants of a party at my place to play beer pong. Me and my friend beat him and our reward was a 4 hour private concert in our apartment... I got the whole thing on video tape too.

and my grandmother used to swear that we are distantly related to William Penn... not sure how true the last one is though.

I'm related to Henry the VIII. His last and only surviving wife was Catherine Parr. Parr is mother's maiden name. We got a family tree somewhere but I can't remember if he is my great(x30) uncle or whatever.

I've met the entire Dallas Cowboy cheerleading squad, along with Rob Schneider, Bo Derek, Jessica Simpson, Wayne Newton and Billy Joel. Oh yeah, one of my best friends dated the daughter of the owner of High Times. And my mom delievered John Gotti Jr's first born.

Wow everyone has interesting stories. My gf once found an article which said I'm a descendant of Cane( from the Bible) which makes me a relative of ghengis khan. Anyways it seems Cane's children formed clans called Khans(from Cane) and one of them had my last name as one of their Khans.

My sister met some LOTR actors.

Some of my friends were involved in the LOTR movies.

A friend of mine is Jack Black's body double in King Kong.

My copy of LOTR is signed by John Rhys Davies.

i had the privilage of playing a few riffs with the late, great, dimebag darrel in guitar store.

and my dad (being a motorcycle mechanic) has fixed the bikes of pantera, countless dallas stars and cowboys, mickey mantels kid, and got grease on puff daddys white suit.

i also accidentally sneezed on terry bradshaw at the texas state fair once. he's a really nice guy.

there are 2 kids that go to my school whose parents started Eastbay. (Eastbay supplies Foot Locker with their merchandise) It was sold to Foot Locker and now both families are filthy rich.

I've got some relatives that are pretty high up in NYC politics. I probably shouldn't go into any more detail, or I'd likely have to kill you.

I'm also related to some guy that came over on the Mayflower (boat that came over from england and founded the first lasting colony), Roger Tory Peterson (some famous guy that wrote bird watching books :uhoh: ) and some other marginally famous people.

i'm related to the bass guitarist of the band Smash Mouth (he's my second cousin or something like that).

i'm also distantly related to Fred Penner, a very popular Canadian children's entertainer who had his own TV show in the early '90s. my last name is Penner as well, which is what most of my friends call me.

i've met tons of people that i can't remember, like George Chuvalo, Super Dave Osbourne, Bert McCracken (lead singer of The Used), i've met all of Taking Back Sunday 3 times, met countless band members in the crowd after their set (Funeral For A Friend, Atreyu, Underoath etc.), i've met a few professional drifters (Chunky Bai, Kazuhiro Tanaka, Nobushige Kumakubo, Atsushi Kuroi, Masatoshi Asamoto, and the founder of Signal Auto, Kosuke Kida). Kumakubo actually gave me a spent Advan tire off of his S13 at the end of the day's festivities, which now hangs on my wall.

i also met the Dale Earnhardt's (Sr. and Jr.). me and my dad went down to Daytona in 1999 or 2000 (i can't remember) for the Pepsi 400 (back when i was still into NASCAR). we were eating at Hooter's across the road from the race-track the night before the race, and noticed the guys sitting at the next table were getting alot of attention (people coming up asking for autographs etc.). we finally found out after about 5 minutes that we were eating right next to the Dale Earnhardts and hadn't even realized it.

my teacher in middle school was dating adam sandler and he came into our class

Devin Harris (NBA player on Dallas Mavericks) went to the high school that i was going to go to until i moved. so my best friend goes there

also Andy Crooks and Mark Zelewski are starting linebackers on the University of Wisconsin football team and went to the high school that i go to now

"Crazy Legs" Hirsch (football player) also went to my current high school

Skye Sweetnam went to my high school and used to be a good friend of my sister. and lives about 5 minutes down the road from me.

not that i really care since she's stuck up and doesn't sing good music, but yeah.
