2000 Golf engine warning light

Hi,
my wifes golf 2000 petrol estate has a warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. It is an icon of an engine in yellow. It is not flashing and the car is perfectly ok. I have sent into the VW dealer twice for sorting out (they have charged so far £500-00 about US$900-00) and it is still on - they seem to think now that the injector is sticking but I don't trust them anymore. Can anyone help me in this I don't like the idea of my wife driving arounnd in a car that either has or might have something wrong with it but if I can't get it fixed I will sell it and buy a different make.

A sticking fuel injector would cause misfires and you engine to run rough.
