problems with chevey malibu

ight its my sisters car and she took it to auto zone because it was nocking they checked the oil and it read that it was low so they put 2 quarts of oil in it so the next day were goin down the road and it starts nockin again so i tell her to pull over so she cuts the car off and i check the oil it had like a inch of oil over the full mark on the dip stick and it keeps nockin but after like 5 min it stops compleatly then if u stop and leave it sitin for like 10 min and cool the motor down again then go crank it up it starts nockin again then when the motor warms back up it stops anyone know what this could be??

hmm maby the oils got to expand... what kind of oil?

Im not sure if the malibu is a wet or dry sump, but it sounds lke the oil pump could be goin bad. And thats why it stops when it warms up, the pump is finally puttin oil in.
