02 RAV heater fan switch

Our 2002 RAV4 heater fan switch stay on even the ignition switch is already turn-off. This will ON on Lo, Med & Hi. When you open the door the fan will turn off. Any suggestion will be really appreciated. This car is still underwarranty but this car was never been service thru the dealer since we bought it. I hate that call back from service with an additional trouble that will never end. Just like going to the Doctor...

....Somehow for whatever reason the battery got discharge. Have you tried to jump this RAV. You have to remove the battery cover with those stubborn clips before you can jump it. I wish this Toyota designer had provided an external connection hookup to ease jump start of the battery especially on a freezing weather..... Maybe Toyota should be alerted of this disadvantage....
