What are some comparisons between these to cars. Power Low end and top, handling, what do you think looks better. Is the probe a rear wheel drive, Is Nova rear wheel drive, what one you would bye

i cant remember what year. it is not to much to look at though and its really small. Can you at least give me some info of the Probe. I just put down Nova because the one im talking about is a 4 cylinder kind of wimpy 5 speed so i just wanted to see if the Probe was more powerful. The reason im asking is because there is a Probe for 1200 bucks for sale says very clean, rust free.113 miles or something like that is that a good deal.

Sounds like you're talking about a later model Nova, which is a rebadged Toyota Corolla.
I think even a Probe with a base engine would have more power. But they're totally different types of car.
One's a grocery getter, and the other is a sporty car.

Do you think a 5 speed Ford Probe would have enough Power to spin out. Also whats the top speed for that.

Well, if you put on the parking brake and drove the RPM to about 5000 and dumped the clutch you might be able to spin them. As for top speed you are looking at around 120mph at the most.

Depending on which engine option you have, it will be more or less easy. I can't remember torque ratings, but I believe 118 hp and 164 hp stand out. The base engine is not enough power for the car, as it's relatively heavy.

The car is a 1991. The one i was thinking of getting. So as you know they did not Produce the base engine in 1991. Im thinking it would probably the GL Probe 4 cyleder 2.2 liter engine. They also made the LX which is a V-6 3.0. Is also could be the GT model 4cylender Turbo. But for 1200 it would proboble be the GL. The top speed on the GL is only 113 because thats where the electronic thing cuts it out. The torque i beleive is 130@3000 rpm. I dont know much about that so how much torque would you need to have a good burnout.
