Ok, the dimmer switch for my dash lights isnt working correctly.... it wont let the dash lights come when i turn on my headlights... i know its a loose connection, i figured that part out.... but my question is, can i get rid of that dimmer permanatly and solder the two power wires together and make constant flow that isnt able to be dimmed? because i want to use that space for my turbo timer when i get one. Any advise would help, THANKS!

use a multimeter to find the resistance of the switch when the lights are on their brightest setting, then hardwire it with a resistor of the same value in

get a cheap voltmeter from autozone or radio shack... with your car on connect the meter between the two power wires on the dimmer switch board and whatever it says the resistance is.. thats what you need in a resistor value. Pull out the board and solder in the resistor.. but if you didnt understand that then you probably shouldn't be doing it without someone watching you who knows what their doing. Destroying your dash lights is more a pain than leaving that dimmer in there.

awsome, thanks for the help, the only part i found confusing was the Resistor value, but you seemed to clear it up, and as of right now i dont have dash lights...
