i have the blue s-class playerz and the black gallardo playerz the playerz cars are on solid axels now and have lost steering and suspension but the brake rotors move with the wheel now like on autoarts and the s-class has a carpety like thing on the front floor matts so i think they are better than the jadas

Hey,
I hope they make one sans bling. If they did make the stock one though, then I'd get both:-D nice find.

I'm sure even though it's solid axle, with enough ingenuity, and skill, you can switch wheels, and change ride height.
Look at some of 1/24's in the thread called "they're late, but finally pics are here" by me.
If you can lower those MotorMax 1/24's cleanly, then lowering anything is possible...
May take cutting, trimming, and even making the wheels stay locked, but it's model, and not a toy, right?

Here are some picks of the mid scale HotWheels Dropstar 300C. These are between 1:24 and 1:18. These are pre-production pictures, as you can see the grills have not been cut and they maybe still be tweaked. They will be hitting stores soon.

And yes they roll. I have no idea what will open up on these. It appears that the hood, front doors and trunk will open, not the rear doors.

Be realistic dan. Those are 22s or possibly 24s. They're big, no doubt but a car can't fit 30s unless it's lifted.

The Dropstars are in a scale of thier own. The sizes stated by Hotwheels are small scale and mid scale. The small scale are bigger then 1:64, but smaller then 1:32, about a 1:43, but not quite. The mid scale are larger then 1:24 but smaller then 1:18

Who ever started Jada needs to be thrown in jail for spreading this big rim disease, the only good to come out of that company is there old-school series. Hell, there even starting on muscle cars now :disappoin I just don't understand why companies think they have to do this to sell Diecast.

I'm ok with the cars because I can mod the rims. My major beef with Jada is the total disregard for scale or realism. The things really are just toys.

Watch out the Evo 8 just might swallow an entire car with that bumper. And that car is as long as a 1:18 Escalade EXT prbly.

I agree with you guys. THose Jada toys never make them look real and thats why i havent bought any.
Has anyone else noticed all the toy companys are trying to make all these street racer cars that are ghetto and pimp?

Not every Jada has an all chrome engine. Yes alot of them do have the all chrome engines, but that is starting to change,
they are adding color detail. These are just a few examples

They are improving...sorta. Look at the newest 1:18 initial D cars. Disgusting.
I don't understand the Big Time Muscle cars. If they're dragsters, why do they have 22s?

They are not meant to be dragsters. Here in southern CA the latest craze has been the pro-touring look. Muscle cars lowered and bigger, flashier rims etc..., like what you see on Overhaulin and shows like that

There engine detail is getting better, but that GT engine looks nothing like the real one when you put it up to the Beanstalk GT, Same goes for interior. And as far as the big time muscle series, thats just another trend there bastardizing. Oh BTW skylineman do you work for Jada? You always seem to have the inside info on stuff.

No I dont work for Jada. But I do know the V.P. of Product development and have meet the designers. Been to the Jada Headquarters, see some things they are working on, prototypes, stuff like that. I know alot of people that are good friends with the people at Jada and visit with them on a regular basis. Some other people I know are dealers and they get stuff alot quicker then other dealers and mass retail. Thats how I managed to get the Chrome Hummer H2 limited edition #25/7500. I guess I just happened to be at the right place at the right time and meet the right people

There arent just dragsters anymore. Its called Pro Touring. So all of the old muscle can go fast and turn sharp. Plus its a nice look. My faher inlaw has 18's on his 74 nova. it looked strictly drag with the camaro style 15" rallys, 6" cowl, 502ci under hood, slicks and his cage. he dropped the rallys for some new torgue thrusts with Toyo Proxes up front and BF Good Drag Radials out back. It is a super clean car and it is super fast. 10.10 All motor on the BFG's
BTW if anybody runs across a decent diecast 74 Nova let me know. He wants a replica so bad. You cant even find the little hot wheels like his car.

I see what you're getting at with the larger rims but honestly the BTM cars are pandering to the DUB fanboys rather than the musclecar fanatics. The rims are very excessive and just make the cars look ridiculous.
